In her fall 2012 collections for Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 Nicole Richie introduced  some edgier pieces such leather pants, skulls, snakes.

I actually really like snake jewelry even though I hate snakes and I'm glad Nicole used this motif.

Nicole Richie attended NBC Universal’s summer press day held at The Langham Huntington on Wednesday, April 18.
The designer and "Fashion star" mentor John Varvatos promoted their reality competition.
Nicole looked lovely, as always, wearing a Winter Kate fall 2012 leather laser cut top with Helmut Lang pants.
She accessorized with a House of Harlow 1960 pattern bangle set in gold/gunmetal, rings, sunglasses and "Callan" suede pumps.
