Exactly one week after giving birth to Sparrow James Midnight Nicole Richie was spotted out at CVS drug store with Harlow, on September 16.
The new mama chose a boho maxi halter dress from Love Tanjane.
She completed her look with a pair of Havaianas flip flops, Ray Ban 3025 aviator sunglasses and her trusty black leather Balenciaga "City" bag.

Nicole Richie's first shoe collection

Beside bags, belts and jewelry Nicole Richie will add a line of around 20 shoe styles to her House of Harlow 1960 label for spring of 2010.
Nicole's business partner, Rick Cytrynbaum, said:
"Nicole is designing everything herself. She’s totally devoted to this, and we’re creating a whole lifestyle around her aesthetic and what is true to her."

The Simple Life starlet marked her first foray into the fashion world with the hugely successful House of Harlow 1960 jewellery collection, and now she's expanded into a complete ready-to-wear range for 2010.
The clothing, which will be available exclusively to buy through my-wardrobe.com, naturally takes inspiration from Nic's ever-popular hippie-luxe fashion sense, and is named after her daughter's two middle names.
And featuring floaty maxi dresses, delicate chiffon and lace jackets, and tunic tops awash with ethnic-style prints, it's bound to be an instant sell-out.
But forget the clothing for a minute, it's the seriously fab footwear that's got us most excited.
The super-stylish collection of embroidered heels, cut-out booties, wedges, moccasins and sandals is set for release in January, and we can't wait to get our well-manicured tootsies into a pair.
‘Fashion should be accessible,' says Nicole. ‘That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960, and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate.'

Nicole and Harlow at the pumpkin patch

Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and their little pumpkin, Harlow, were spotted out for some pumpkin fun in Los Angeles, on October 24.
Nicole opted for comfort over style by wearing her Ugg classic boots. For the rest of the look the stylish mama chose Jet's trashed skinny jeans paired with a grey tank top under her Anne Demeulemeester wheel print draped shirt, a black fedora and sunglasses.

Nicole at the March of Dimes

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden out for a private March of Dimes planning event at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills, on October 21. They are part of the Los Angeles "Storks Club” who are arranging for the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies luncheon to be held Saturday, November 7, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles. Celebration of Babies is a fundraising event recognizing celebrities and prominent individuals who are celebrating the birth of their children while honoring role models who are committed to March of Dimes mission to improve the health of all babies.

Nicole and Joel open Beyond Shelter playground

Nicole Richie and her boyfriend Joel Madden help celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony for Beyond Shelter Playground on behalf of The Richie-Madden Foundation on Thursday, October 22, in Los Angeles.
This new playground gives the children of homeless families a green space to play in a safe and protected environment.
After the event Nicole tweeted:
"“THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Text CHILD campaign. We are giving these children a chance to have an imagination & be free."
For her outfit she opted for a basic black tank top under a loose blouse, a pair of jeans and Modern Vintage "Fabrizia" braided flat sandals.

Nicole Richie's "Winter Kate" clothing line

As we already know, Nicole Richie will launch a ready-to-wear clothing line. The name - Winter Kate - is another tribute to her daughter, Harlow.
The collection consists of 37 pieces and will be available in stores such as Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Ron Herman, Intermix, and Kitson beginning in February 2010.

Nicole Richie has a new baby and a new contemporary women’s clothing line.
The label, Winter Kate, which will debut in spring, expands a fashion business that already includes the accessories line House of Harlow 1960 and a maternity collection, Nicole for A Pea in the Pod.
The 37-piece Winter Kate line, which takes her daughter Harlow’s two middle names, will hit stores such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Ron Herman, Intermix and Kitson, beginning in February.
“It feels as though I’ve always been working on this collection, but officially I started putting it together in early 2009,” said Richie, who is lying low at home after the birth last month of her son, Sparrow. “I’ve wanted to design a clothing collection for a very long time.”
Richie, who has become known for her eclectic bohemian style with a Sixties and Seventies flair, said she has torn fashion pages out of magazines for years and also draws inspiration from her favorite animals, including peacocks and other birds.
The line includes mostly tops, vests and bed jackets in colorful vintage-inspired silk, crepe and chiffon because these tops are a mainstay of Richie’s own wardrobe.
“I probably wear the same two pairs of jeans every day as the background to a fabulous top,” she said. “Bed jackets are a staple of my wardrobe because they are a gorgeous way to give jeans and a white T-shirt a completely different look.”
Also key for spring dressing are “definitely a beautiful, fun slip dress in a great print and also a leather jacket to turn the romantic day dress into an edgy night-out outfit,” Richie said.
Her collection includes long slip dresses, asymmetrical short dresses, tunics and a kimono-sleeved, maxidress, which are meant to be layered with vests in cotton macramé, suede or silk, or a shrunken leather jacket.
“I purposely made the slip dresses in both solids and prints,” Richie said. “Wear the prints by themselves or with a great vest or jacket and wear the solids as basics to an outfit with many layers.”
Priced from $35 wholesale for a camisole to $110 for a long kimono dress, and as much as $598 for the leather pieces, the line is positioned similarly to her accessory collection, which now includes shoes for spring.
“Fashion should be accessible,” Richie said. “That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate.”
Both lines, she noted, are aimed at the same customer. “She is a woman like me: She does not look at labels; she knows how to mix and match. The pieces can be dressed up, made casual, but most importantly, they provide the wearer a means of self-expression and fun.”

Nicole and Joel introduce baby Sparrow

People magazine presents the first photo of Nicole Richie's son, Sparrow James Midnight Madden.
What a beautiful family, he's so adorable , I can't wait to read the whole article.
Six weeks after welcoming their first son, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden – along with their 21-month-old daughter Harlow – are showing off the latest addition to their family, Sparrow James Midnight Madden.
"I couldn't be happier," Richie tells PEOPLE. "The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are. I'm right where I belong."
In an interview at their home in Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles, Richie, 28, and Madden, 30, her boyfriend and front man of the band Good Charlotte, say they are deprived of sleep, but grateful their daughter Harlow is now fawning over a baby brother.
The latest issue of People magazine hits newsstands Friday, October 23.


In 2008 Nicole Richie has chosen the same magazine to showcase the first public photos of herself and Harlow.

In related news, Nicole apparently admires Halle Berry for regaining her figure less than a month after giving birth to daughter Nahla. Miss Richie, who gave birth to her second child, son Sparrow, on September 9, reportedly keeps a photo of Halle pinned up in her kitchen.
"Nicole would look at Halle’s photo and see how she was able to get her figure back in a matter of weeks and use that as an incentive," a source tells Australia’s NW magazine.
